Clifton N. Reeder, 84, Russell County, KY (1932-2016)

He was the patriarch of a large, highly regarded family. He was a native of Russell County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Judith (Johnson) and Luther Reeder and the widower of Rejina Johnson Reeder. He leaves 18 direct and four step living descendants.

Clifton N. Reeder, 84, of Jamestown, KY passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home, Jamestown, KY.

Funeral Services for Clifton N. Reeder will be Monday August 1, 2016 at 11amCT, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY with Bro. Bill Welker and Bro. Ken Charlton officiating. Friends may visit on Sunday, July 31, 2016 after 4pmCT, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Reeder Cemetery in Jamestown, KY.

Clifton was born in Jamestown, KY on May 28, 1932. He was the son of the late Judith (Johnson) and Luther Reeder. He died Friday, July 29, 2016, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 84 years, two months, and one day.

He is survived by:
  • Two sons: Wade Reeder, (Sherry) and Jeffrey Reeder, (Joan) both of Jamestown, KY

  • Two daughters Rebecca Hall, (Fred), of Louisville, KY and Shelia Gilbert, (Michael) of Jamestown, KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • Five step grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren

  • and four step great grandchildren
Clifton was preceded in death by his parents, wife Rejina (Andrews) Reeder, sister Emma Jean Reeder, and five brothers, Hall, Quincy, Alex, Raymond and Jehue Reeder.
