Jerry Estes, 63, Green County, KY (1953-2016)

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was retired from Nally and Gibson. He was a native of Green County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was a member of a large, highly regarded family, the son of the late Adolphus & Znnnie Burton Estes and the widower of Wanda Akin Estes. He leaves 11 direct living descendants. His family ties were many in Taylor, Adair, and Green Counties.

Jerry Estes, 63, departed this life Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill, Greensburg, KY.

The funeral service will be at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, at 11amCT, Monday, July 25, 2016. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Sunday, July 24, 2016, and after 7amCT, Monday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, by Bethlehem Baptist Church, 526 Temperance Road, Greensburg, KY.



Pallbearers: Jacob Estes, Jerry Rattliff, Roger Neagle, Bryan Estes, Brent Nunn, and Tommy Judd.

Honorary pallbearers: Past and Present Employees of Nally and Gibson.

Jerry Estes, 63, Green County, KY (1953-2016)

Jerry Estes was born February 2, 1953 in Green County, KY. He was the son of the late Adolphus and Zannie Burton Estes. He departed this life Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill, Greensburg, Green County, KY, having attained the age of 63 years, five months and 20 days.

Jerry had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was retired from Nally and Gibson.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Akin Estes; brother, Doug Estes; and father-in-law and mother-in-law: Robert and Claris Akin.

He is survived by the following:
  • Two sons and two daughters: Andy Estes and his wife Carrie of Columbia, KY; Dale Estes and his wife Erin Beth, Patricia Mixtega and her husband Isaias, Mashonda Russell and her husband Jamie, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Four brothers: Henry Estes and his wife Tina and Roger Estes of Greensburg, KY; Bobby Estes and his wife Donna and Billy Estes and his wife Marsha of Campbellsville, KY

  • One sister-in-law: Alene Estes of Greensburg, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Jacob and Autumn Estes, Cameron and Cooper Estes, Eric and Alex Mixtega and Shandi Russell

  • Plus a host of other relatives and friends
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Bethlehem Cemetery Fund. These can be made at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.
