Bennie Noel, 86, Casey Co., KY (1930-2016)

He was a farmer and member of the Noel's Chapel First Church of God. He was a native of Casey County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was a member of a large, respected family with close family ties in Casey, Adair, and Taylor Counties of South Central Kentucky and elsewhere. He was the son of the late Felbert Ray Noel and Pearl Gabehart Noel and the widower of Doris Bailey Noel. He leaves seven direct living descendants.

Bennie Noel, 86, of Casey County, KY, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY.

Funeral services are at 1pmCT/2pmET, Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Noels Chapel First Church of God with Bro. Cameron Cain and Bro. Harold Dupps officiating. Mr. Bennie Noel will be laid to rest in Noel's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is 3pm-7pmCT/4pm-8pmET, Saturday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY and Sunday from 7am-11amCT/8am-12pmCT. Visitation is Sunday at Noel's Chapel First Church of God from 12pm-1pmCT/1pm-2pmET.



Pallbearers are Harold Thomas, Alan Thomas, Jimmy Murphy, John Murphy, Vaughn Murphy, and Chris Scott.


Bennie Noel, Casey Co., KY (1930-2016)


Born June 13, 1930, in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late Felbert Ray Noel and Pearl Gabehart Noel. He died Thursday, July 21, 2016, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 86 years, one month, and eight days. He was a farmer and member of the Noel's Chapel First Church of God.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Doris Bailey Noel, who died August 30, 2012, and the following: a daughter: Glenda Margaret Noel; four brothers, Charles, Samuel, Earl, and Walter Noel; five sisters: Mary Dean, Nellie Land, Mamie Jean Noel, Marie Thomas, and Mable Schultz Noel

Survivors:
  • A son: Timothy Noel of Liberty, KY

  • A daughter: Pamela J. Noel of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two brothers: Edward Noel of Liberty, KY; and Henry (and Jetty) Noel of Glens Fork, KY

  • Two sisters: Martha (and Shearl) Murphy of Liberty, KY; and Ruth (and Howard) Murphy of Versailles, KY

  • Three grandchildren: David, Cassandra, and Ava Noel

  • Two great-grandchildren: Dylan and Shawn Noel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideons International or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
