Stacy Melton thanks all for tribute to Anthony & Tammy Reece

Stacy Melton writes:

I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support that has been shown to our family since tragedy struck on Friday. We have been amazed by all the calls, texts, visits and fb messages from people all over. Anthony and Tammy were a match made in heaven...and they were contagious!

People were drawn to them and they touched lives everywhere they went. Last night I was talking to somebody (I've talked to so many I can't remember who, maybe Angie Cook) and we said how great it would be if the Rzrs could escort Anthony and Tammy home. Jackie and I went to work on it about 9:30 last night and it evolved into what everyone saw today, Monday July 18, 2016.

(I wish we had thought of it sooner because some were far away and couldn't get here in time.)

When we pulled into Walmart this afternoon, i was in tears. There were so many people there to ride in honor of our loved ones.

I want to thank each and every one of you who came today, those who stood on the side of the road as we passed, -everyone who called or messaged and wanted to come but couldn't, -Ed Waggener and Columbiamagazine.com, -Lisa Clark and WAIN, -the Adair Progress, -the WAVE and -the Community Voice for advertising the event, to Walmart and Cameron Garmon for roping off and providing us with a spot to meet, Columbia City Police Dept for providing the escort, blocking off roads and especially the kind words for Tristan Reece and myself. Ky State Troopers and Adair County Sheriffs Dept, the blacktopping crew on N55 for stopping road work and allowing us to pass, Pamela Roszak for sending a photographer, and last but certainly not least, J.J. and and Cathy Martin for taking such great care of our family, Anthony and Tammy, and for bringing them home.

We live in a great community! I love Columbia and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Please continue to keep us in your prayers in the coming days. Thanks again...we love you all! -- Stacy Melton
