Bull Run Charity MusicFest will be 30 Jul 2016

By Easton Bryant

This year's edition of the Bull Run Charity MusicFest is set for Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 4:30pmCT at 1601 Bull Run Road, Columbia, KY. Admission is free and donations are encouraged.

This is the 7th year running for the event, which has raised over $55,000 for various charities and individuals. One hundred percent of the proceeds stay local (as opposed to giving some funds to national charities).

Music will be performed by various artists from across Kentucky. Food for purchase will be available and vendors will be present. There will be an auction at around 8pmCT.

Again, our mission isn't to change the world, but to give a variety of people in our community a helping hand when they need it most.

Last year's beneficiaries include various individuals and families who had missed extended days of work due to illness or injury as well as house burning victims. BRCMF paid a deposit in order for a young woman to have power in her home. She was walking to and from work daily to make ends meet and was on the verge of losing her children without a proper home environment.

BRCMF paid vehicle insurance for 3 months for a young man who had suddenly become homeless and was contemplating quitting school to seek a second job in order to pay insurance.

Aside from monetary donations, themed gift baskets for auction are gladly accepted. These are very effective.

To be a sponsor of BRCMF this year or to donate an auction item, send an email to eastonbryant@yahoo.com or call 270-250-2162. Checks can be mailed to the following address. Be sure to include your business name. Thanks! BRCMF, 3058 Campbellsville Road, Columbia, KY 42728

We've got a last-minute addition to the lineup that I think will be very well received by the community. Local legend Tony Loy and friends will be kicking off this year's Bull Run Charity MusicFest at 4:30pmCT. 100% of proceeds are dispersed throughout the year to local individuals and families who need a helping hand. Festival takes place at 1601 Bull Run Rd. in Columbia. No admission. We only ask that you make a donation if you're able.
