Opal Mae Watson, age 79 of Liberty, KY passed away on Wednesday July 13, 2016, at the Casey County Hospital, Liberty, KY.

Funeral services will be held 12pmCT/1pmET, Sunday July 17, 2016, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Leslie Bentley officiating. Burial will follow in K.P. Hall Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4pm-8pmCT/5pm-9pmET, on Saturday July 16th, 2016 and after 8amCT/9amET, Sunday July 17, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

Opal Mae Watson, was born September 18, 1936 in Kings Mountain, KY. She was a daughter of the late Eard and Alice Napier Snow. She died Wednesday July 13, 2016, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 79 years, nine months, and 25 days.

She was preceded in death by her spouse; Eulas Ray Watson, one son; Charles Ray Watson, one daughter; Donna Watson and two brothers; Donald and Gomer Snow.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include:
  • One daughter; Judy Gail Kappes of Louisville, KY

  • Five sons; James Robert Watson of Liberty, KY; Eulas Ray Watson Jr of Campbellsville, KY; Larry Gene Watson of Kings Mountain, KY; Johnny Darrell Watson of Lexington, KY; and Scottie Jermaine Watson of Hillsboro, OH

  • Two step-daughters; Betty Sue Gilpin of Indianapolis, IN; and Joyce Ross of Portland, OH

  • Sixteen grandchildren

  • Twelve great-grandchildren

  • Three sisters; Lois Everett and Elvina Bishop both of Stanford, KY; and Myrtle Rexroat of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two brothers: Vernon and Ora Snow both of Waynesburg, KY
