The Adair County Fiscal Court voted unanimously to purchase a new Kenworth Dump Truck from World Wide Equpment at a cost of $107,994, at it's regular July 12, 2016 meeting. The action came on a motion by Magistrate Billy Dean Coffey (District 5), with a second by Greg Caldwell (6), and Magistrates Harold Burton (1), Daryl Flatt (2), Sammy Baker (3), Perry Reeder (4), and Terry Hadley joining in the affirmative.

County Treasurer Melinda Quinn opened the bid, the only one received.

The court voted to finance $100,000 of the cost through KACO, and voted to authorize CJE Mike Stephens to sign necessary paperwork to complete the transactions.

The cost for the vehicle was $8,000 less than originally estimated.
