Casey County Grand Jury returns indictments Mon 11 July 2016

Indictments brought against six individuals from Yosemite, Liberty, Kings Mountain, and Science Hill, Kentucky, on charges including wanton endangerment, public intoxication, possession, DUI and receiving stolen property.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

Indictments were returned against the following individuals on Monday, 11 July 2016:


  • Jeffrey J. Hatter (10/18/1984), Means Rd., Yosemite, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00093. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Count 3 - Public intoxication. Continue same bond (blanket). Arraignment August 8, 2016 at 1pmET.

  • Lequita Deann Durham (11/17/1991), Westwood Dr., Liberty, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00092. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of controlled substance, 3rd degree, 1st offense, drug unspecified. Count 2 - Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, 1st offense. Bail continue same as district (blanket). Arraignment August 8, 2016 at 1pmET.

  • Joshua R. Cochran (01/29/1990), Woodrum Ridge Rd., Liberty, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00094. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine). Count 2 - Possession of a controlled substance, 2nd degree, 1st offense. Bail continue same bond (blanket). Arraignment August 8, 2016 at 1pmET.

  • Tracy R. Swift (03/14/1981), Yosemite Rd., Yosemite, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00095. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine). Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail same as district (blanket). Arraignment August 8, 2016 at 1pmET.

  • Kelly B. Elmore (08/20/1971), Bastin Creek Rd., Kings Mountain, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00096. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Receiving stolent property (firearm). Bail same as district. Arraignment August 8, 2016 at 1pmET.

  • Tiffany R. Dick (10/06/1980), Smith Vaught Rd., Science Hill, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00099. Charged with 11 counts. Count 1 - No/expired Kentucky registration receipt. Count 2 - Reckless driving. Count 3 - Possession of controlled substance, 3rd degree, 1st offense, drug unspecified (two counts). Count 4 - Possession of a legend drug. Count 5 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 6 - Failure to wear seat belt. Count 7 - Failure to produce insurance card. Count 8 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine). Count 9 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (heroin). Count 10 - Possession of marijuana. Count 11 - Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, 1st offense. Bail continue same bond (blanket). Arraignment August 8, 2016 at 1pmET.
