James Luther Chapman, 94, Russell Springs, KY passed away, Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services will be at 1pmCT, Wednesday July 13, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Bobby Conner officiating. Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery, Bethel Cemetery Church Road, Jamestown, KY. Visitation will be Tuesday July 12, 2016 5pm-9pmCT, at the funeral home.



James Luther Chapman, 94, Russell Co., KY (1922-2016)


He was born on Saturday May 27, 1922 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Emma Pearl Chapman and the late James Chapman. He died Sunday, July 10, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 94 years, one month, and 14 days.

He is survived by hie wife, Jeanetta Pearl Lawless Chapman, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Four daughters: Ann, wife of David Coe; Kathy, wife of Daryl Coe; Betty Collins, and Zelda, wife of Doug Marcum, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • Four sons: Phillip, husband of Mary Chapman, Jamestown, KY; Brad husband of Nancy Chapman, Russell Springs, KY; Chester, husband of Marilyn Chapman, Illiopolis, IL: and Leon, husband of Diane Chapman, Indianapolis, IN

  • A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren
