Billly Joe Fudge - on the efficiency of 'Ain't'

Great Wooded South Grammarian University Prof. B.J. Fudge writes:
You know that I just recently discovered that 'ain't' is a combination, "a" for plural and "I" for singular, contraction. Saves time and effort to have just one contraction to deal with rather than two. - Billy Joe Fudge
Thanks - As one sopping up all the wisdom I can adsorb, I appreciate the additional wisdom, although at this stage of withering away, each additional nugget seems to prompt 'out of memory' dialogue box and I find two items are booted out of storage, indiscriminately. - Old Ed
