Elma P. Buis, 80, Casey County, KY (1936-2016) Mrs. Buis was a homemaker and a member of the Willow Springs United Methodist Church. She had a strong faith in God. She was independent, strong willed, and a proud Republican. Mrs. Buis enjoyed canning, fishing, and the drink Dr. Pepper. She was a native of Casey County, the daughter of the late Arnold & Lena Wall Buis. She was the widow of Vernon Meeks and of Willis Hendren. She leaves 25 direct living descendants. Elma P. Buis, age 80, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY. Funeral services will be at 12pmCT/1pmET, Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bros. David Eastham and Creech Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, on Monday, July 11, 2016, at the funeral home. Elma P. Buis, 80, Casey County, KY (1936-2016) Born May 31, 1936, in Casey Co., KY, she was a daughter of the late Arnold and Lena Wall Buis. She died Saturday, July 9, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 80 years, one month, and nine days.
