Ann Peterson, 89, Russell County, KY (1927-2016)

She was a native of Clarksville, TN, and a resident of Jamestown, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Bailey Beatrice(Scott) and Homer T. Buckner, and the widow of Charles A. Peterson. She leaves 43 direct and nine step living descendants.

Ann Peterson, 89, of Jamestown, KY, formerly of Ft. Wayne, IN, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016, at the Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services for Ann Peterson will be Wednesday, July 6, at 6pmCT, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY with Bro. Tony Stephens and Bro. Jason Walters officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home after 5pmCT on Wednesday. Graveside Service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016, at 11am, at Covington Memorial Gardens, 8404 Covington Road, Ft. Wayne, IN.



Ann Peterson, 89, Russell County, KY (1927-2016)

Ann Peterson was born in Clarksville, Montgomery County, TN, on March 13, 1927. She was a daughter of the late Bailey Beatrice (Scott) and Homer T. Buckner. She died Sunday, July 3, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 89 years, three months, and 20 days.

She was the widow of Charles A. Peterson.

Ann is survived by:
  • Two sons: David Keith Peterson, of Ft. Wayne, IN; and Douglas Michael Peterson, of Lutz, FL

  • Three daughters: Susan Ann Stafford, of Payne, OH; Bonnie Jean Scherer, of Breeding, KY; and Lora Lynn Sales, of Jamestown, KY

  • One sister: Juanita Calvert, of College Station, TX

  • Fourteen grandchildren

  • Two step grandchildren

  • Twenty-four great grandchildren

  • and seven step great grandchildren
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles A. Peterson, son Marvin Allen Peterson; four brothers, Douglas, Wilbur, Scott and James Buckner; four sisters Jean Rule, Belle Davis, Leora Jackson and Arlene Beman; and one granddaughter.
