He was a native of Casey County, KY, the son of the late Eunice Boone and Della Elliott Carman and the widower of Vera Mae Singleton Carman who preceded him in death just 38 days prior. He was a farmer. He leaves 28 direct living descendants.

Kirby Carman of Kings Mountain, KY passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was 75.

Funeral services are at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Friday, July 1, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Kevin Pittman officiating. Burial will follow in Salyers Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, June 30, 2016, 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and will continue Friday from 7amCT/8amET, until funeral service.



Kirby Carman, 75, Casey County, KY (1940-2016)


Born August 7, 1940 in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late Eunice Boone and Della Elliott Carman. He died Sunday, June 26, 2016, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 75 years, 10 months, and 19 days.

He was a farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vera Mae Singleton Carman, who died May 19, 2016; two sons, David and Danny Carman; two brothers, Roger and Conrad Carman; and a sister, Berdena Carman.

Survivors include:
  • Two daughters: Louise (and John) Hines of Mintonville, KY; and Debbie (and Gary) Luttrell of Yosemite, KY

  • A daughter-in-law: Jeannie Carman of Kings Mountain, KY

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Sixteen great-grandchildren

  • Two sisters: Minnie Carman Spears of Danville, KY; and Faustine Coffey of Martinsville, Indiana
