James Douglas Wisdom, 63, Green County, KY (1953-2016)

He was born in Liletown, Green County, KY, and was a resident of Jeffersonville, IN, at the time of his death. He was an electrician with Local 369. He was the son of Oleeda Thompson Wisdom (Bolton), who survives, and the late Douglas Wisdom. Committal services will be in the Wisdom Family Cemetery in his native Green County. He leaves 21 direct and one step living descendants.

James Douglas Wisdom, 63, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016.

Funeral Ceremony will be conducted at 9amCT/10amET, on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272 with burial at 12:30pmCT/1:30pmET in Wisdom Family Cemetery in Greensburg, KY. Visitation will be 2pm-7pmCT/3pm-8pmET, Thursday, June 23, 2016, at the funeral home.


James Douglas Wisdom, 63, Green County, KY (1953-2016)


He was born in Liletown, Green County, Kentucky on Saturday, March 21, 1953. He was the son of Oleeda Thompson Wisdom and the late Douglas Wisdom. He died Saturday, June 19, 2016, at the age of 63 years, two months, and 29 days.

He was an electrician with Local 369.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cheri Lynn Mullins; a grandson, Peyton Neely; and a half-brother, Eric Wisdom.

He is survived by his mother, Oleeda Bolton, and the following:
  • Children: Dianna (Brett) Kennedy, Jesse Wisdom and Jamie Wisdom

  • A step-daughter: Brandi Wooldridge

  • Eighteen grandchildren

  • A sister: Connie (Richard) Blasi

  • And a host of other family members and friends
