Emogene Gwinn age 67 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY. Cremation has been chosen and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Emogene was born on April 26, 1949 in Cumberland County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Leslie Nell Willis and Alta Blythe Willis. She died Sunday, June 19, 2016, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 67 years, one month, and 24 days.

She had retired from teaching after 27 years with the Cumberland County Board of Education. She was a graduate of Western Kentucky University, and a member of the Lions Club and Cumberland County Womens Club.

Survivors include:
  • Her husband: Dale Gwinn of Burkesville, KY

  • One daughter: Mary Todd Gwinn of Augusta, GA

  • One son: John Parker Gwinn of Burkesville, KY

  • One Brother: Willard Cleve Willis of Burkesville, KY

  • One sister: Betty Feldt of Louisville, KY

  • Five grandchildrenL John Peyton Bow, James Christian Bow, Emily Bow, Aubrey Madison Gwinn, and Ella Kate Gwinn
