He died Wednesday, June 15, 2016, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 73 years, eight months, and 20 days. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Coble Hale, on June 23, 2014. In addition, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kenny Hale; and three sisters, Bernice Velman, Beatrice Jessee and Ramona Rogers. He is survived by the following:
