Arvester "R.V." Stephens, 82, of Russell Springs, KY, died Monday, June 13, 2016 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

Funeral services will be held at 10amCT Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Bernard Ridge Church of God, 170 Stephens Ridge Road, Russell Springs, KY, with Rev. Lindsey Cornett officiating. Visitation will be at 5pmCT Thursday and after 8amCT Friday at the church. Interment will be in the Bernard Cemetery.

He was born April 1, 1934 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Henderson & Evaline McQueary Stephens. He died Monday, June 13, 2016, at the age of 82 years, two months, and 12 days.

He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Bernard Ridge Church of God.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.

Survivors include:
  • His wife, Rosa Stephens, Russell Springs, KY

  • A daughter, Teresa (Charles) Murray, Russell Springs, KY

  • A granddaughter, Brenna Murray, Russell Springs, KY

  • A step granddaughter, Amy Murray

  • Two great grandchildren
