She was a homemaker and a member of Good Tidings Baptist Church. She was a native of Russell County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Melvin & Ada hadley Loy and thewidow of Garnett Roy. She leaves 19 direct living descendants spanning four generations.

Mary Jane Roy, 86, of Russell Springs, KY, died Monday, June 13, 2016 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral service for Mary Jane Roy will be 10amCT, Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Josh Owens officiating. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Tuesday, June 14, 2016. Interment will be in the Wilkerson Cemetery. Pallbearers: Randy Roy, Terry Roy, Kenny Roy, Justin Roy Ruben Smith, Jr. Roy.

She was born August 15, 1929 in Russell County, KY, to the late Melvin & Ada Hadley Loy. She died Monday, June 13, 2016, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 86 years, nine months, and 29 days.

She was a homemaker and a member of Good Tidings Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garnett Roy and a daughter, Anita Roy.

Survivors include:
  • Two children: Leon (Jessie) Roy, Russell Springs, KY; and Judy (Bob) Stephens, Norwood, Ohio

  • Five grandchildren

  • Ten great grandchildren

  • Two great-great-grandchildren
