Scott Mayer promoted to Assistant Supervisor in Probation/Parole

FRANKFORT, KY 14 Jun 2016) - Division of Probation and Parole Director Cortney Shewmaker today announced the promotion of Scott Mayer to Assistant District Supervisor of District 20. District 20 encompasses Pulaski, Rockcastle, Lincoln, Wayne, McCreary, Whitley, Clinton and Russell counties.



"Scott Mayer has demonstrated the skills necessary to be a valuable addition to our leadership team," said Shewmaker. "His experience and knowledge will serve him well as he assumes his new role."

Mayer began his career with the Department of Corrections in August 2012 as a probation and parole officer in District 20. He supervised offenders in Whitley and McCreary counties.

Mayer is a 2011 graduate of University of the Cumberlands, where he earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
