Blair Lamb is 2016 Taylor County Distintinguished Young Woman Laura Lamb is 2nd Runner Up. Both receives substantial scholarship awards. They are the daughters of Tammy Harris and Doug Lamb. The sisters and their brother Murphy Lamb are triplets. Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) By Calen McKinney CHS student named Taylor County Distinguished Young Woman Campbellsville High School student Blair Lamb was named the 2017 Taylor County Distinguished Young Woman on Saturday, June 4, and Laura Lamb was second runner-up. Blair also took home several preliminary awards. She won the Be Your Best Self Award, the overall scholastic and self-expression awards and preliminary awards in fitness, talent and interview. Laura also received the overall talent award and a preliminary scholastic award. Blair sang "Astonishing" from Little Women, and Laura played Impromptu, Op. 28, No. 3, in C sharp minor by Hugo Reinhold. The Lambs, who, along with brother Murphy, are triplets, will be seniors at CHS in the fall. They are the daughters of Tammy Harris and Doug Lamb. The DYW program consists of scholastics, interview, fitness, self-expression and talent competitions. Scholastics and interview each count for 25 percent of a participant's score. Talent is 20 percent and fitness and self-expression are each 15 percent. This year's program was themed "Good to Be a DYW," and was at Hamilton Auditorium on the CHS campus. There were 11 participants in the program, with Blair and Laura being the only two from CHS. As the Taylor County DYW, Blair will receive more than $30,000 in scholarships. As second runner-up, Laura will receive $6,000 in college scholarships. They also received cash scholarships for their other awards. Blair also receives a medallion, roses, an engraved silver tray, gift cards and a photo session. She will represent Taylor County in the Kentucky DYW program in January.
