She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and took especially good care of her grandchildren. Her husband of over 60 years, Omer Colvin, survives. She leaves 14 direct living descendants. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Spurlington United Methodist Church.

Florine Colvin 76, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 5:50pmET, Friday, May 27, 2016 in Campbellsville. 76

The funeral service will be at 10amCT/11amET, Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Mark Price and Rev. Robert Morris. Entombment will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 700 Old US 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Monday, May 30, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Florine Colvin, Taylor Co., KY (1956-2016)

Florine Colvin was the daughter of the late Thomas Sharp and Hallie Milby Sharp. She was born October 16, 1939 in Green County, KY. She died Friday, May 27, 2016 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 76 years, seven months, and one day.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Spurlington United Methodist Church.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and took especially good care of her grandchildren.

She united in marriage to Omer Colvin March 10, 1956.

Besides her husband, Omer Colvin of Campbellsville, KY, she is survived by the following:
  • One son and two daughters and spouses: Lynn and Glenda Colvin, Diane and Jimmy Cave and Joyce and Mike Pelly, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Amy Burton and husband, Mike, and Leanna Cundiff and husband, Shawn of Campbellsville, KY; Brittany Weiner and husband, Dan of Arizona; Kelly Wright and husband, Michael of Lebanon, KY; Courtney Pelly of Louisville, KY; and Hunter Pelly of Campbellsville, KY

  • Five great-grandchildren: Chase Burton, Kaden Wright, Reese Burton, Evan Cundiff and Aubrey Wright

  • One sister and one brother: Ann Sprowles and husband, Glevins, and Jimmie Sharp and wife, Donnetta, of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • and many other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers: Geraldine Myers, Christine Milby, David Sharp, Bill Sharp, Elwood Sharp, Riley Sharp and Virgil Sharpe.
