Robert Edward Forrest, 70, Savoyard, KY (1945-2016)

He was a retired LG&E Gas Storage Employee. He was a member of the Old Blue Springs Baptist Church. He was a native of Savoyard and a resident the community at the time of his death there. He was the son of the late Robin T. and Mable Sublett Forrest. His wife, Virginia Kirkpatrick Forrest, survives. He leaves 24 direct living descendants.

Robert Edward Forrest age 70 of Savoyard passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Old Blue Springs Baptist Church with burial in the Yates Cemetery, 887 W Black Dot Road, Knob Lick, KY 42154 Visitation will be from 9amCT, Thursday until service time at the church.



Robert Edward Forrest, 70, Savoyard, KY (1945-2016)


He was the son of the late Robin T. and Mable Sublett Forrest. He was born June 30, 1945. He died May 16, 2016, in Savoyard, KY, at the age of 70 years, 10 months, and 16 days.

He was a retired LG&E Gas Storage Employee. He was a member of the Old Blue Springs Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Virginia Kirkpatrick Forrest, and the following:
  • A son: Robert Forrest and wife Pamela of Indianapolis, Indiana

  • Three daughters: Glenda Greene and husband David of Indianapolis, IN; Linda Gail Boles of Glasgow, KY; and Vickie Carver and husband Scott of Bowling Green, KY

  • One sister: Wanda Whitney and husband Yancey of Indianapolis, IN

  • A nephew: Laronzo Smiley and wife Beth of Louisville, KY

  • Ten grandchildren

  • and ten great grandchildren
