Eighteen from Russell Co. receive degrees from LWC

Eighteen students from Russell Springs and Jamestown recently graduated from Lindsey Wilson College, earning Bachelor and Master degrees in disciplines ranging from business administration and communication to nursing, counseling, education and interactive design.

The 18 area residents were among 244 students who received undergraduate or graduate degrees at the college's 103rd commencement ceremony, held May 14 in Biggers Sports Center.

Congratulations to the following graduates:


  • Colby Allen of Jamestown earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and an Associate degree in Health Science

  • Jalena Barnes of Jamestown earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education

  • Katie Branscum of Russell Springs earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication

  • Wendy Castrejon of Russell Springs earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Contract/Multi-Disciplinary

  • Kristina Cundiff of Russell Springs earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing

  • Ryan Paul Harper of Russell Springs earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Contract/Multi-Disciplinary

  • Zachary Harris of Russell Springs earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration

  • Megan Harvey of Russell Springs earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services And Counseling

  • Nicole Jones of Russell Springs earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice

  • Morgan Miniard of Russell Springs earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration

  • Lisa Newell of Russell Springs earned a Master degree in Teacher As Leader

  • Katie Passmore of Russell Springs earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services And Counseling

  • Venus Popplewell of Russell Springs earned a Master of Arts degree in Interactive Design

  • Samantha Robertson of Russell Springs earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing

  • Cody Santo of Russell Springs earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies

  • Joshua Smith of Russell Springs earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science Teacher Education

  • Rebecca Smith of Russell Springs earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
