Adair Fiscal Court votes to buy two for ACSO - 10 May 2016

Cruisers will be purchased out of general fund money, to be repaid by Alcoholic Beverage Tax in next fiscal year. Financing recommended by Judge Stephens who balked at at 5% KACO financing charge.

Adair County Sheriff Harrison Moss, gave a brief report on his department, drawing chuckles when asked about taxes, with a short rejoinder, "Taxes are over," he said. The Adair County Fiscal Court voted last night to publish the date of the second reading of the County's ABC ordinance, which will be at 9amCT, Thursday, May 19, 2016, in the Annex Basement, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY. The sheriff's request to buy two new cruisers was approved, on a motion of Magistrate Daryl Flatt (2) with a second by Perry Reeder (4) and a vote of 8-0 to buy the cruisers, and to save on financing the approximately $70,000 out of the county's general fund, with the stipulation that the money be repaid by alcoholic beverage tax money in the next fiscal year.
