She was a homemaker and a member of Creelsboro Christian Church. She was the daughter of the late Vernon Ray & Marie Roberts Grant. Her husband, Bro. Larry Johnson, survives. She leaves four direct and two step living descendants. She will be laid to rest in her native Adair County.

Sandra Kaye Johnson, 68, of Russell Springs, KY, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Funeral service for Sandra Kaye Johnson will be 11amCT, Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Tony Stephens, Bro. Bill Welker and Bro. Carroll Egnew officiating. Visitation after 5pmCT, Monday, May 9, 2016. Interment will be in the Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY.

She was born September 10, 1947 in Columbia, Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Vernon Ray & Marie Roberts Grant. She died Wednesday, May 4, 2016, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 68 years, seven months, and 24 days.

She was a homemaker and a member of Creelsboro Christian Church.

Survivors:
  • Husband: Bro. Larry Johnson

  • Two children: Brandy Andrew, Park Hills, KY; and Patricia Richardson, Corbin, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Paige Couch, Lexi Richardson

  • Very special step granddaughter: Brianna Brock

  • Step great granddaughter: Kora Brock

  • Mother-in-law: Lula Johnson, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sisters: Vonda (John) Carter, Jamestown, KY; and Patty (Roger) Chapman, Russell Springs, KY

  • Several nieces & nephews
