Mr. Chad Huston Ervin, 45, of Green County, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, in Greensburg, KY. He was 45 years, four months, and eight days of age.

The funeral services for Mr. Chad Huston Ervin will be conducted at 11amCT, Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Little Barren Cemetery. Bro. Joseph Wilcoxson and Bro. Charlie Houk will officiate.. Visitation is requested from 3pm until 8pmCT, Thursday, April 28, 2016, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Friday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Josh Ervin, Thomas Ervin, Greg Ervin, Clint Ervin, Matt Kessler, Brian Pierce, Nick Wright, and Curtis Ervin.

Mr. Chad Huston Ervin, Green Co., KY (1970-2016)

Mr. Chad Huston Ervin of Green County, Kentucky, son of Rebecca Ann Robertson Ervin and the late William Huston Ervin, was born on December 18, 1970 in Greensburg, Kentucky and departed this life on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. He was 45 years, four months, and eight days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Little Barren Separate Baptist Church. He was a self-employed logger.

Survived by his wife, Carletta Jewell Ervin of Green County having united in marriage on October 22, 2012.

Other survivors include his children:

  • His children: Colen Matthew Ervin, Caleigh Harmon, Chandler Ervin, and Chayne Ervin all of Green County, KY

  • A sister and brother-in-law: Lorie and Jeff Richey of Glasgow, KY

  • Father-in-law and step-mother-in-law: Jack and Donna Jewell of Green County, KY

  • Mother-in-law and step-father-in-law: Annetta and Mike Baskette of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Charles and Bethany Jewell of Florida
  • and a host of other relatives and friends
Chad was also preceded in death by a son, Cody Allen Ervin on December 4, 2010.
