Adair County Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 26 Apr 2016

Indictments brought against four individuals. Charges include theft by unlawful taking, various drug offenses, persistent felony offender, and handgun in possession of convicted felon.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 26 April, 2016:

Doris A. Roy (01-04-1988), Russell Springs, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00039. Charged with one count. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition $500 or more but less than $10,000. Summons. Arraignment 10 May 2016 at 1pmCT.

Robbie D. Cabehart, (07-22-1957) ADDRESS NOT GIVEN Indictment No. 16-CR-00040. Charged with two counts. Count 1 - Bail Jumping in First Degree. Count 2: Persistent Felony Offender. NO BOND. Arraignment 24 May 2016 at 1pmCT.

Charles B. McCoy, (11-20-1988), Ralph Sharp Road. Indictment No. 16-CR-00041. Charged with two counts. Count 1 - Possession of Controlled substance, 1st degree. 1st Offense. Methamphetamine. County 2 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Summons. 24 May 2016 at 1pmCT.

Dennis L. Smith. (09--28-1959), Snake Creek Road, Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00042. Charged with five counts. Count 1 - Possession of marijuana. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3- Possession of Legend Drug. Count 4 - Possession of handgun by convicted felon. Count 5 - Posession of controlled substance, 1st degree. 1st offense. (Methamphetamine). Bail $5,000 c/sec. property set Arraignment 16 May 2016 at 1pmCT.
