CHS seniors host prom at assisted living facility They danced the night away. Campbellsville High School students Paige Dabney, Kathryn Doss and MaKenzie Murrell hosted a prom at Bluegrass Way assisted living facility on Saturday, April 16. For their senior project, the three decorated the facility, arranged for women living there to have their hair and makeup done for the occasion and provided dance partners for the night. Bluegrass Way residents danced with the CHS seniors and took photos with them in a photo booth. They also had refreshments and spent time socializing. For their end of the year projects, CHS seniors are required to learn a new skill and then utilize that skill in a way that benefits others. According to CHS English teacher Lindsay Williams, students submit research logs to show the work they have put into their projects, interview an expert related to their project, maintain blog posts about the project and then submit activity logs each month to show their progress. Many students choose projects that will benefit their school and other community organizations. CHS students are preparing to present their final presentations about the projects. The project is a graduation requirement. This story was posted on 2016-04-27 10:49:22
