She was retired from Food Service Preparation at Indianapolis Fruit. She was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death in Cookeville, TN. She was a member of Branham Grove Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Ronald & Mabel Crawley Sells.She leaves 13 direct living descendants.

Ms. Wanda Elavee Sells Wright, 73, of Burkesville, KY, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the Cookeville Regional Hospital in Cookeville, Tennessee/

The Memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 12pmNoonCT, in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. with Pastor Larry Manning officiating. Private burial of the Cremains will be in the Modoc Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 10amCT. Saturday, April 30, 2016 until the funeral hour.



Ms. Wanda Elavee Sells Wright, Cumberland Co., KY (1942-2016)


She was born on Tuesday, December 1, 1942, in Cumberland County, KY. She was the daughter of Ronald and Mabel Crawley Sells. She died Sunday, April 24, 2016, in Cookeville, Putnam County, TN, a the age of 73 years, four months and 23 days.

She was a member of Branham Grove Baptist Church, and retired from Food Service Preparation having worked at Indianapolis Fruit.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Wright; and her brother, Randall Sells.

She is survived by:
  • Her children: Scott Wright of Michigan City, IN; Jeff (and Tammy) Wright of Burkesville, KY; Chris Wright of Indianapolis, IN; and Penny (and Pastor Larry) Manning of Ft. Myers, FL

  • Her sister: Lucille Garner of Burkesville, KY

  • Her grandchildren: Michael (and Ashley) Wright, Rachel Manning, Jonah Manning, Matthew Whitlock, Katie (and Richard) Dallape, Christopher Wright, William Wright, Gavin Draper

  • Her great-grandchildren: Ethan, Elizabeth, Titus and Gunnar

  • Her beloved pet: Kaylee
In lieu of flowers contributions to the Modoc Cemetery Fund (c/o Billy F. Garner, 311 Garmons Ferry Road, Burkesville, Kentucky 42717) in her memory would be appreciated.
