Josephine Rae Fields age 80 of Edmonton, KY, died Wedesday, April 13, 2016 at Hospice House - Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral services were held at 11amCT, Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with interment in the Willie Gibson Cemetery. Visitation was from 3pmCT until 8pmCT Friday and after 9amCT Saturday at the funeral home.



Josephine Rae Fields, 80, Edmonton, KY (1935-2016)


She was the daughter of the late Riley and Mae Walbert Gibson. She was born December 23, 1935. She died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 80 years, three months, and 21 days.

She was a homemaker and member of the Grace Union Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Herbert Fields, and the following:
  • Two sons: Ronnie Fields and Donnie Fields and wife Gwen all of Edmonton, KY

  • Two brothers: Floyd and Eugene (Louise) Gibson all of Edmonton, KY

  • Five sisters; Barbara (Jimmy Lewis) Wisdom, Betty Shive, Wilma (Marvin) Phelps and Ruby Hurt all of Edmonton, KY; and Shirley (Yancey) Mutter of Glasgow, KY

  • Two step grandchildren: Heather Nation of Glasgow, KY; and Dustin Groce of San Antonio, Texas

  • One step great grandchild: Chandler Nation of Glasgow, KY
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brother in laws Junior Shive and Kenneth Hurt.
