COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson cycling team added high school senior Collin Tellechea for the 2016-17 season, head coach Charles Mooney announced on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.

Tellechea comes to Lindsey Wilson from Shawnee High School in Medford, New Jersey.

He has competed in four events in the young 2016 season, and has already recorded a pair of top-20 finishes against top competition.

During his 2015 racing campaign, Tellechea competed in 26 total events, racking up 16 top-10 finishes, nine top-five placements, and had three event victories riding for his team, Tri State Velo. He won the Course de Evesham-Marlton-Evesham, Olde Mill Inn Tour of Basking Ridge, and Tour de Fort Lee road race events.

"One of the main things that excite me about Collin is that he has the potential to be a podium threat every time he gets on the bike," Mooney said. "I am very excited to have him come to Lindsey Wilson and help us raise our game on the road."

Collin is expected to compete mainly in road race competitions, but will also ride in track events as his secondary discipline.
