Linda Gaskins, 74, of Columbus, Indiana (formerly of Russell County) died Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the home of a daughter.

Funeral service for Linda Gaskins will be 1pmCT, Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Ronnie Sullivan officiating. Visitation after 11amCT, Wednesday. Interment in the Ridgecrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Brent Richards, Clint Richards, Steve Richards, Steve Richards, Jr., Joe Smith, Chuck Baker, Ricky Richards (Little Ricky), and Brent Richards (Little Brent)

She was born June 11, 1941 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Oris & Lola Faye Simpson Dunbar. She died Saturday, April 9, 2016, in Columbus, Bartholomew County, Indiana, at the age of 74 years, nine months, and 29 days,

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ovel Gaskins.

Survivors include:
  • Three children: Ernestine (Kevin) Wells, Bloomington, IN; Teresa (Jaysen) Ray, Columbus, IN; and Eric (Amy) Gaksins, Hendersonville, TN

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Six great grandchildren

  • Three sisters: Lois Bennett, Louisville, KY; JoAnn Baker, Columbus, IN; and Lonice Richards, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three brothers: Ernest Dunbar, Jamestown, KY; Eris Dunbar, Russell Springs, KY; and Gary Dunbar, Taylorsville, IN.
