Johnnie Demon Roach, 86, formerly of Adair County, KY, died March 22, 2016 at Embassy Health Care Center in Wilmington, IL.

Graveside services were held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W Hoff Road, Elwood, IL.

He was raised in the Weed/Gradyville Area of Adair County.

He served four years in the U.S. Army. He retired from Sun Chemical in Illinois.


He was preceded in death by his wife Toyoko (Mitch); his parents and step-mother Delcie Firguin Roach; two brothers Clell and Norman Roach; and one sister; Dorothy Garnes He is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Kathy Oki of Illinois and Dorothy Driesback of Ohio

  • Two grandchildren: Dylan and Annie of Ohio

  • Two sisters: Louise Janes of Sparksville, KY, and Janet Roach of Versailles, KY
