Mr. Bobby Ray "Uncle Dick" Tallent, age 76, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016, at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Funeral service for Mr. Bobby Ray Tallent, will be conducted Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at 11amCT, in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home, 115 Cross Street, Albany, KY, with Pastors Harvey Dicken and Jimmy York officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave Springs Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 4pmCT, Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Funeral Home.



He was a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church and the son of Aaron Darcus "Doc" and Reba (Cummings) Tallent.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Aaron Oakley Tallent, Guy Tallent, Bennie "J.D." Tallent, a sister, Ida Maude Thrasher.

He is survived by his loving companion, Doris Jones, and the following:
  • Two sons, Timothy Ray (& Laura) Tallent of Louisville, Kentucky, abd Martin Bruce (& Lisa) Tallent of Bullitt County, Kentucky

  • Four brothers, Johnny (& Becky) Tallent, Gary (Arrisa) Tallent, Wendell (& Sylvia) Tallent all of Albany, Kentucky; and Joe (& Sheryl) Tallent

  • A sister, Ina Marie (& Rob) Norris both of New Whiteland, Indiana

  • A granddaughter, Kayla Tallent

  • Special great nephews, Parker and Lee Tallent

  • Plus a host of other friends and relatives
