Adair Clerk Lisa Greer: Polls very busy this morning Update on Wet/Dry election: Absentee vote tally will begin at 10amCT, but no results will be released until 6pmCT. Tabulation tonight will take place, as usual, in the basement of the Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY. Clerk expects results to be tallied quickly after that By Ed Waggener At 9:25amCT, today 22 Mar 2016, just over 8 1/2 hours to go, Adair County Clerk Lisa Lee reported heavy turnout at the polls and no incidents in the Special Local Option Election in Adair County, KY. She described the pace at the polls as "Busy. Busy." The only calls, she said, were from people asking where to vote. She said that if the pace keeps up, she is predicting a 55% turnout - 7,388 total votes cast - to as high as 60%, which would put the total vote at 8,059. "I hope everyone will vote," she added, encouraging everyone to participate, regardless of how they vote. Polls are open 6am-6pmCT. Only voters in line at closing will be allowed to vote after.
