Everett (Tude) Simpson, 81, Casey County, KY (1934-2016)

He was a self employed logger, former employee of Liberty Motors, Griffen-Wesley Ford and Wright Implement. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of Athen's Church of God. He was the son of the late John William and Mary Mae Yates Simpson and the widower of Dorothy Louise Meeks Simpson. He leaves 14 direct living descendants to carry on his legacy

Everett "Tude" Simpson age 81 passed away on Sunday March 20, 2016 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held 12pmCT/1pmET, Wednesday March 23, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY 49, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Dallon McDonald officiating. Burial will be in the South Fork Ridge Cemetery with Military Rites performed by the Casey County Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, on Tuesday March 22, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

He was born in Liberty, Casey County, KY on December 11, 1934. He was the son of the late John William and Mary Mae Yates Simpson. He died Sunday, March 20, 2016, at his residence at the age of 81 years, three months,and nine days.

He was the widower of Dorothy Louise Meeks Simpson.

He was a self employed logger, former employee of Liberty Motors, Griffen-Wesley Ford and Wright Implement. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of Athen's Church of God.

Survivors include:
  • One son: Jeffrey Simpson. of Liberty, KY

  • One daughter: Tammy Pevley of Liberty, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Lucas, Matthew and Amanda Simpson, Nikki Brock and Rick Pevley

  • Seven great grandchildren: Bradley and Holden Randolph, Chloe Simpson, Addyson, Alexis and Jace Brock and Gabby Pevley
Preceding him in death besides his parents and spouse was one brother: Arvil Simpson; and one sister: Hallie Pearl Simpson.
