CU Tigers in NAIA Fab Four Monday, 21 Mar 2016 By Lindey Young, sports information graduate assistant KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The Tigers punched their ticket to the semifinals, as they face Mid-America Christian (Okla.) in the 2016 Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Fab Four matchup at 7pmET Monday, March 21, 2016 at the Municipal Auditorium. The first 30 games of the national championship will be video-streamed live at www.NAIANetwork.com, the NAIA's official video-streaming platform powered by Stretch Internet. The championship final will air on ESPN3 for the third-straight season on Tuesday, March 22 at 6:30pmET. Fans will also be able to follow the NAIA Fab Four on the Campbellsville University Sports Network, 88.7 The Tiger, as Jay Turner, Matt Payton and Benji Kelly will call the action (www.wlcufm.com). Campbellsville reached the NAIA Quarterfinal for the first time since 2008 when the Tigers made a Fab Four run - the longest in CU men's basketball history. No. 6 seed Campbellsville (25-10, 8-8 MSC) vs. No. 4 seed Mid-America Christian (26-9, 12-6 SAC) The Tigers and the Evangels have never met before in regular or post season play. CU is averaging 86 points per game throughout championship, two points higher than the regular season (84.3). Sekou Harris leads team with 37 total points, averaging 18.5 a game in the first three rounds of the NAIA Tournament. The Tigers rank fifth in the NAIA in total 3-point field goals made (332). With the Mid-South Conference Freshman of the Year, Hagen Tyler, ranking third in total 3s made (110). Tyler lit up the nets against quarterfinal opponent, Carroll College, hitting five 3-point field goals (5-of-8) - his best long-range performance since recording six 3s against Shawnee State on January, 28th. Dii'jon Allen-Jordan ranks fourth and sixth in total rebounds (331) and total blocks (66), respectively. Allen-Jordan leads the team in points per game (17.1), rebounds (9.4), steals (1.6) and blocks (1.8) - recording his 15th double-double against Carroll. The Mid-South Conference has two teams represented in the Fab Four - Georgetown College and Campbellsville. Mid-America Christian is making its second-ever appearance in the NAIA national tournament with their first-ever Fab Four appearance in program history. The Evangels are ranked fourth in the NAIA in total assists (572), total scoring (3,138) and offensive rebounding (1,444). Nick Tate leads the team in scoring and rebounds per contest, averaging 15.6 and grabbing 6.7 boards. Malcolm Mann ranks No. 9 in the NAIA in total assist (172) and total steals (64), while leading the team, dishing out 5 assists per contest and 1.8 steals. Byron Miller is sixth in total points (64) in the NAIA national tournament, scoring a game-high 26 points against Park (Mo.) in the first round.
