Essie Mayrene Gibson, 75, Metcalfe County, KY (1940-2016) She was a homemaker and member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Ode & Beulah Compton. Her husband of 51 years, Carl Gibson, survives. She leaves 17 direct living descendants and three boys who were like sons to carry on her legacy. Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday and after 9:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
