CHS raises over $300 for cancer research

By Calen McKinney

Campbellsville High School students have raised nearly $300 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. Family, Career and Community Leaders of America students at CHS hosted a Pennies for Patients drive in first period classes as a community service project.

Jessica Bradshaw’s class raised the most money, at $70.63. FCCLA students will provide a breakfast for Bradshaw’s class as a reward. Blake Milby’s class was a close second.

In all, CHS will donate about $300 to the society's Kentucky/southern Indiana chapter. Deanna Campbell is the CHS FCCLA sponsor. Calen McKinney is Public Information Officer, Campbellsville Independent Schools (CIS)
