Tricha Holt, Adair County, KY (1940-2016)

She was a native of Adair County, KY, a member of a very large, highly regarded family. She was the daughter of the lateJames Eli & Cecil McQueary Burton, and the widow of James Allen "Shorty" Holt. She leaves 12 direct and one expected living descendants. She had attended the Bearwallow United Methodist Church, was retired from the Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY, and was former president of the American Legion Post 82 Ladies Axillary.

Tricha Holt age 75 years of Campbellsville formerly of Columbia, KY passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Masonic Homes in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be at at 2pmCT, Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Glen LaFond the officiating clergy. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the funeral home.



She was born on October 10, 1940, in Adair County, KY She was the daughter of the late James Eli & Cecil McQueary Burton. She was the widow of James Allen "Shorty" Holt, who preceded her in death on March 21, 1989. She was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters, Kelly Burton, Diane Marple, Jean Gray and Helen Curry; and one grandchild Phillip Wesley Mann.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Jamie Owens of Campbellsville, KY and Charlotte (Mark) Hoots of Caneyville, KY

  • Two sons: Dwain (Charlotte) Caton of Campbellsville, KY; and Jimmy Caton of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two sisters: Kay Thomas of Columbia, KY, and Marie Curry of Louisville, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • One expected grandchild

  • One great grand child

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
She had attended the Bearwallow United Methodist Church, retired from the Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville & was former president of the American Legion Post 82 Ladies Axillary
