Dewayne Hayes, Elkhorn, KY (1965-2016)

He was a truck driver for Conway. He was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of Carrll "Joe" Hayes and Laura Cox. His wife of 26 years, Connie Hayes, survives. He leaves two direct living descendants.

Dewayne Hayes, 50, of Elkhorn, KY, died at 5:29pmET, Saturday, March 12, 2016 in Louisville, KY.

The funeral services will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Larry Loy. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old US 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT, Monday, March 14, 2016, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.


Dewayne Hayes, Elkhornm, KY (1965-2016)


Dewayne Hayes of Elkhorn, was the son of Carroll "Joe" Hayes and Laura Cox. He was born September 6, 1965, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died Saturday, March 12, 2016 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 50 years, six months, and six days.

He was a former Truck Driver for Conway.

He united in marriage to Connie Downer on November 22, 1989.

Besides his wife, Connie Hayes of Elkhorn, KY, he is survived by:
  • One daughter and one son: Hannah Hayes of West Plains, MO; and Ethan Hayes of Elkhorn, KY

  • Father: Carroll "Joe" Hayes of Elkhorn, KY

  • Mother and step-father: Laura Cox and Keith Cox of Elkhorn, KY

  • Two sisters and one brother: Sharon Hayes and Kelly Wayne and husband, Neal of Campbellsville, KY; and Chris Hayes and wife, Erica of Lebanon, KY

  • Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins

  • And many other relatives and friends
