She was a retired seamstress with Cricketeer. She was a native of Liberty, KY. She was the daughter of the late Jason Mitchell "Jake"and Clara Barlow Taylor and the widow of Benny Conrad Cross. She leaves eight direct living descendants.

Ella Cross, age 78, of Stanford, KY, passed away on Friday March 11, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Stanford, KY.

Funeral services will be held 09amCT/10amET, Monday March 14, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY 49, Libertym KY. Burial will be in the Green Acres Memory Gardens in Crossville, TN. Visitation will be held 3:30pm-7pmCT/4:30pm-8pmET, Sunday March 13, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.


Ella Cross, 78, Casey County, KY (1938-2016)


She was born in Liberty, Casey County, KY on February 1, 1938 to the late Jason Mitchell "Jake" and Clara Barlow Taylor. She died Friday, March 11, 2016, in Stanford, Lincoln County, KY, at the age of 78 years, one month, and 10 days.

Ella was a retired seamstress with Cricketeer.

Ella was the widow of Benny Conrad Cross.

Survivors include:
  • One daughter: Barbara Alice and (Bobby) Toll of Lawrenceburg, KY

  • One son: Stanley Conrad Cross of Stanford, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Brooke Renee Jackson, Bretta Marie Renner and Benny Conrad Cross

  • Three great-grandchildren: Ethan Taylor Snipes, Emma Paige Renner and Amelia Claire Jackson

  • And one sister: Nora Denson of Perryville, KY
Preceding her in death besides her parents and spouse were: One son, Anthony Dewayne Cross; Four sisters, Myrtle Derringer, Oma Thompson, Ova Edwards and Willie Bell Tapscott and six brothers, Mitchell, Charlie, Lowell, Bradley, Osby and Donnie Taylor.
