Dellie Jewel Feese Evans Johnson, 88, Adair Co., KY native (1927-2016)

She was a member of Knifley Christian Church and was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY. She was a member of a large, highly regarded family with deep roots in Adair and Taylor Counties and elsewhere. She was the daughter of the late James Rufus Feese and Villa Lee Dunbar Feese and the widow of first Jasper "Jack" Arnold and later James ""Jimmie" R. Johnson.

Dellie Jewel Feese Johnson, 88, of Campbellsville, KY died at 9:45amET, Thursday, March 10, 2016 in Campbellsville.

The funeral service will be at 11amCT/12pmNoonET, Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Minister Hugh Withers. Burial will be in Chappel Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET at the funeral home.

Dellie Jewel Feese Johnson of Campbellsville, KY, was the daughter of the late James Rufus Feese and Villa Lee Dunbar Feese. She was born November 3, 1927, in Adair County, KY. She died Thursday, March 10, 2016 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 88 years, four months, and seven days.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Knifley Christian Church.

She united in marriage to Jasper "Jack" Arnold August 17, 1946. He preceded her in death February 20, 1976.

She also united in marriage to James "Jimmie" R. Johnson October 28, 1982. He preceded her in death May 15, 1997.

She is survived by the following:
  • One brother and four sisters: Mickey Feese and wife, Carol of Cane Valley, KY; Ludora Perkins of Knifley, KY; Laverne Kennon and husband, Bob and Betty Mae White and husband, David of Campbellsville, KY

  • A sister-in-law: Norene Feese of Knifley, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters: Clem Feese, George Cyrus Feese, Mattie Lee Feese, Rosa Lillian Feese, Euline Feese, Jeraldene Tucker and Maudye Hovious.
