Louise Brock, 96, Adair Co., KY (1919-2016) She was a member of Columbia United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Columbia Woman's Club, the Hospital Auxiliary, the Chamber of Commerce, the Adair County Women's Democrat Club and was very community minded. She owned and operated Vaughn's Smart Apparel for many years. She was the matriarch of a highly distinguished Adair County family. She was the daughter of the late John Green and Laura Lee Duncan Cates of Logan County, KY and the widow of Otto Brock. She leaves 28 direct living descendants to continue her legacy. She made us all better people for having known her. She died Saturday, March 5, 2016, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 96 years, nine months, and three days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Brock and her son, Dr. Larry Brock. She was a member of Columbia United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Columbia Woman's Club, the Hospital Auxiliary, the Chamber of Commerce, the Adair County Women's Democrat Club and was very community minded.
