Ed Parton officiating. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Sunday, March 6, 2016, at the funeral home. Interment in the Jamestown Cemetery, 201 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY. Verta Norris Johnson, 88, Russell Co., KY (1928-2016) She was Wednesday, born February 15, 1928 in Russell County to the late Addis K. and Lora Mae Elmore Norris. She died Friday, March 4, 2016, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 88 years, 18 days. She taught for 47 years in the Russell County School System and was a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Oval Norris.
