Trish Zatkoff on alcohol: God gave us free will

By Trish Hadley Zatkoff
Personal Commentary

In reading the letters concerning the wet/dry debate, it seems people are blaming the "alcohol". It sounds similar to the anti-gun people blaming the gun. Or the police being blamed when a criminal disrespects their authority.

God gave us free will. For those concerned about our kids being able to purchase alcohol, why don't we put forth the effort to teach our children how to be responsible and make right decisions?

Would it be so outlandish of an idea to put our faith in the big guy (God, that is) and believe that what is supposed to happen, will happen? I'm pretty sure the devil is enjoying all the fighting going on here.

Just a thought...

- Trish Hadley Zatkoff
