Wid Harris appointed by PSC to fill vacancy on water board

Adair County Judge Executive Mike Stephens was notified today before noon by Public Service Commission Commission that William "Wid" Harris has been appointed by the PSC to fill the seat of Rudy Higginbotham, following the commission's finding that the appointment of Larry Russell Bryant to the seat was invalid.



Mr. Harris served as Magistrate of Adair County District 2 for many years. That, and Mr. Harris's service on the Board of Directors of other utilities (Mr. Harris was on the boards of Taylor County RECC and the East Kentucky Power Co-op).

The order states that it was made in the absence of any nomination by the Adair County Judge Executive, whose son, Lee, was one of the nominees.

Others besides Mr. Harris, nominated and considered were: James Harper, Bradley Hayes, (Lee Stephens), Joseph Pyles, Sharon Shields-Smock, Robin Wilkerson, LarryBryant,
