Vanessa Joy Furkin Jessie, 54, Barren Co., KY (1961-2016) She was an employee of Express Logistics and of the Baptist faith. She was a native of Barren County, KY and a resident of that county at the time of death near Summer Shade, Metcalfe County, KY, where her final resting place will be. She was the daughter of Mary Margie Willis Furkin, who survives, and the late, Jerry Hodges Furkin. She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Billy Rigsby. She leaves seven direct and one step living descendants. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 1pmCT at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be 2pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at and continue Wednesday, after 7amCT, until time of services.
