He was a native of Adair County and resident of Russell County, KY at the time of his death. He was a highly respected mechanic in his career. He was the son of Marie & Willis Jack Burton. His wife, Irene, survives. He leaves 12 direct living descendants to carry on his legacy.

Jarvis J.C. Burton, 74, of Russell Springs, Kentucky passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be at 2pmCT, Wednesday February 24, 2016 at Russell Springs First United Methodist Church, 206 Jamestown Street, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Billy Dunbar officiating. Visitation will be held the same day prior to the service. Interment will be in the Bearwallow Cemetery, 6090 Liberty Road, Columbia, Kentucky.

He was born on Saturday January 10, 1942, in Columbia, Adair County, KY. He was the son of Marie & Willis Jack Burton. He died Wednesday, February 24, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 74 years, one month an 14 days.

He was a mechanic.

He is survived:
  • His wife: Irene Foster Burton, Russell Springs, KY

  • His sons: David (Patricia) Burton, Jamestown, KY; Danny (Shatella)Burton, Columbia, KY; and Barry Burton, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three sisters: Rhonda Burton, Columbia, KY; Freeda Moore, Russell Springs, KY; and Brenda Burton Sullivan, Jamestown, KY

  • Two brothers: Randall Burton, Taylorsville, IN; and Ronald Burton, Russell Springs, KY

  • Eight grandchildren

  • One great grandchild
