Debbie Cowan will teach 4-H Arts & Crafts classes Registration limited to 10. For youth 9-18 years of age. Deadline to register is 3 Mar 2016 By Tony Rose Adair Co. Agent for 4-H and Youth There will be a second 4-H Arts & Crafts Fair Project class starting on March 7, 2016, "Upcycled Arts & Crafts," taught by Debbie Cowan The classes will meet at the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service, 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY. which will meet 5pm-6pmCT, on Mondays, 7-14-21 & 28 Mar 2016. Upcycling, or creative reuse, is the process of transforming useless or unwanted products into new materials. In this class you will take recycled items and transform them into works of art or useful household products. Projects will include a woven rag stool, canvas arts and in can projects. The class is limited to 10 youth ages 9-18 and all youth will do projects that can be entered in the County Fair. Sign up are now being taken. You can contact the Adair County Cooperative Extension Office at 270-384-2317 or by email at trose@uky.edu.
